Website Update
It’s looking tidier around here! This bot-mama is learning so much on this journey! March has been a time of getting-it-together. The website has been updated with new graphics, fresh information and links, and new bots. The story of the bots has also been updated. Learn more about their origin story here.
Minting on Foundation
The first NFT’s have been minted on foundation.This was a huge step and milestone for my digital art, and it’s been made possible by Niftorian- an amazing team helping artists to navigate the nft world. Niftorian Demo Day
On March 31, 2022, I will be giving a 5 minute presentation about the bots on Demo day! As soon as it’s over, i’ll link the video here! For right now, I’m working hard on my presentation and business plan. I hope that this is the turning point for the skellybots, and I can start making some things happen for myself and my community. I want to spread as much joy as possible with my boney behbehs. :)
New Art
A new collaboration with a local burlesque troupe has lead to 3 more Bot-lesque performers, and a limited edition Build Your Own Burley Bot sticker page- More soon!
Uncle Bot has come to lend the bots a helping hand, and a few new others are in development, including a special bot for my Niftorian classmates.
New Goals
(1) THE BOT BOOK of RESEARCH- With support, I want to develop a book project for the first 50 skellybot designs as the Bot Book of Research. This will also tell stories of the locations the bots are in with each research photo. I hope to be able to collaborate on bot photos with other artists and organizations and be able to help others achieve their goals.
(2) SKELLYBOTS ANIMATION- I hope to create a short cartoon series of skellybot antics, as well as animated NFT’s. I have been taking every spare minute to teach myself what I can. I hope this will allow me to be able to hire a writer and give a fellow creative a leg up- not to mention it’ll just be SUPER FUN.
(3) MONETARY GOALS- My current goal is a little one, I want to try to raise 1000 to be able to upgrade the bots and fund the book, the animation, and a team expansion, as well as…
(4) DIGITAL ARTS CLASSES- Once I can make this a steady thing, I want to be able to expand digital art programming at various fine arts non-profit organizations to help usher in a new group of digital arts noobs and serve as a guide. I want my students to see what they can do with their futures and what it’s like to be part of a creative community.
I am both excited and completely terrified about this new adventure…but then I remind myself that 1000 years from now it won’t matter, there will be interstellar archaeologists dusting off this computer, so i might as well go for it.
